Recently I’ve been intrigued by old photos of Toronto, especially photos of storefronts and signs. Using photos, often credited to the Archives of Toronto, I am creating digital artwork.  These are not simply scanned images which are then edited.  My version of each photo is created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop using the photo as my inspiration.  Many of the photos are black and white images, so my imagination can run wild with the colours.  Some photos include people which is new to my work.  I’m enjoying this new interest.  Hope you enjoy it too.
